Who We Are

In 1994, the Roede family opened what would become Harvest Time Produce & Pumpkins on their front lawn on 100th Street in Alto, Michigan. This new venture began as a way for Susan Roede to stay at home with her young children while still helping supplement the family income and carry on several generations of family farming tradition.

When the Roedes later moved to Freeport, Harvest Time remained on 100th St. for several years, while the family hauled produce and goods by tractor and wagon from Freeport to Alto. In 2002, Harvest Time Pumpkins moved completely to its new location on East Freeport Road, and is still owned and operated by the Roedes with help from a few close friends and family members.

Our dream for Harvest Time Pumpkins is, and always has been, to provide a safe and affordable way for families to enjoy the beauty of fall and all of its activities. Over the last 20 years, we have been deeply blessed to witness that very thing, and to have had the opportunity to serve our community and those around us.

We sincerely hope that you and your family, your church, school groups, or daycares will join us this October for some wholesome fall fun in the beautiful Michigan countryside.
